Dr. Sheaukang Hew is an experienced music educator with over 30 years of teaching violin, viola, and piano. Originally from Malaysia, she received her music education in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the United States. She earned her Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees in Violin Performance and Musicology from the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, she holds Grade 8 proficiency in piano, violin, and music theory from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

Dr. Hew takes pride in her ability to quickly identify the strengths and weaknesses in her students’ performances, allowing her to develop personalized teaching plans tailored to each individual. She is committed to building a strong foundation in tone projection, finger dexterity, and proper playing posture, ensuring her students have the tools they need to succeed.
